Wow, I find it fascinating how Georges Melies went from magician to experimenting with film and basically laying the foundation for the enormous sci-fi and special effects industry. The scenes he created are so incredibly innovative for his time. It's too bad he died broke and never got to see how ridiculously profitable the movie making and fx industry has become.

This class sounds like it's intended to push boundaries, so it should be a lot of fun.

As for me, I love to travel. I’ve been through most of North America & Europe & was recently prevented from going to the Far East because of swine flu. Stupid epidemics!

What I expect from this class is to discover unfamiliar art forms & new creative outlets. What I’ve already gotten from it is forced into the 21st century by creating a blog.
